1521654 Stabilized coenzyme composition I E MODROVICH 17 March 1977 [17 March 1976 9 March 1977] 11242/77 Heading G1P [Also in Division C2] A stabilized liquid coenzyme composition for use in a biological diagnostic determination, comprises a labile coenzyme, which is unstable in aqueous media, dissolved in a non-reactive watermiscible organic solvent which is liquid at room temperature and contains less than 0À5% water. Preferred coenzymes are nicotinamide dinucleotide reduced and hydrated nicotinamide dinucleotide reduced and solvents are C 2-10 polyols containing 2-4 CH groups. The composition may also contain at least 1% volume/volume of an inert hygroscopic agent.
