Abstract

1520990 Elevation guides EATON GmbH 1 Sept 1976 [2 Sept 1975] 36122/76 Heading B8L A fork lift truck comprises an inclineable load carrier 22 mounted on an upstanding mast 4, the latter comprising a first telescopic portion 5 to the rear of an operators' station 11, and a second part 6 to the front of the station 11 and supported on a pair of spaced guides 7, 8 extending from the top of the outermost part 16 of the telescopic mast portion 5 and over the station 11. The guides 7, 8 support a perforated cover plate 9 to protect the operator, through which he can see. The mast portion 5 comprises a fixed section 10, intermediate section and the outmost section 16 all interengageable through rollers 14 and relatively movable under power. The load carrier on a carriage 18 is either fixed to the front mast part 6 or is separately power driven therealong on rollers 19, the carrier carrying forks 22 being inclineable relative to the carriage 18 by a ram 20. In another embodiment the operators' station 11 is movable vertically.
