Abstract

1520637 Linking machine MATHBIRK Ltd 7 Nov 1975 [19 Dec 1974] 55324/74 Heading D1G A linking machine having points (1, Fig. 1 not shown) is provided with a linking station (3) a cutting station (4) and an oversewing station (5). The latter includes tension bars 35, adjustably mounted on slotted brackets 36, over which the over edge stitch is formed by needles (42, Figs. 3a, 3b not shown) co-operating with loopers 30 rotated in their housing 32 by pulleys 33 driven by a belt 34. The cutting station comprises a blade mounted on a block 25 oscillated about a pin 16 by linkage 17, 18 19, 24 connected to an oscillating block 20. The knife is raised or lowered by turning a bush 9 provided with an arm 10 co-operating with a cam surface on a frame portion 8.
