Abstract

1520331 Cartons; cartonning TETRA PAK INTERNATIONAL AB 23 Feb 1976 [25 Feb 1975] 07020/76 Headings B8P and B8C A folded carton for containing tetrahedral packages 12 is formed with a rectangular outer shape and an octagonal inner profile and includes two opposed walls each defined by a central portion 2 folded up from a base and outer portions 3 joined to neighbouring walls 1, the central and outer portions 2, 3 being joined, e.g. by gluing or stapling overlapping flaps 6, 7. Slits 9 in the base define portions which may be raised by a mandrel (11), Fig. 3 (not shown) inserted from below to support a bottom layer of packages 12 during filling of the carton.
