Abstract

1520112 Lamp holder WARD & GOLDSTONE Ltd 17 May 1976 [3 May 1975 9 March 1976] 18633/75 and 9400/76 Heading H2E A lamp holder comprises a plastics body 10 having a flange 12 and terminals 18 at one end and a bayonet fitting at the other end, a cap 22 covering the terminals and a cover 20 covering the bayonet fitting, the cap 22 being locked in position by a pawl 32 on circlip 28, engaging a recess 34 on the cap 22. The clip 28 is fixed to the flange 12 through lug 30 located in a gap 26 on the flange. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the locking means comprise an aperture (40) on the cap through which a screw, not shown, extends in an aperture (42) on the body. Alternatively the screw may be omitted and a spring biased pawl (44, Fig. 4, not shown) provided in the aperture (42). In another modification (Fig. 5, not shown) the aperture (40) is located at the base of a groove (46) which extends around the outer surface of the cap, and one or both ends of a circlip located in the groove (46) extend in the aperture (42), which may be replaced by an annular groove on the body.
