Abstract

1518910 Oil-in-water dyestuff emulsions NIPPON KAYAKU KK 24 June 1976 [24 June 1975] 26408/76 Heading D1B Oil-in-water dyestuff compositions comprise (a) at least one water-insoluble dye dispersed with a dispersing agent in an oil phase formed of at least one oil selected from hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons (b) at least one thickener and (c) water. The oils employed are of B.P. 50‹ to 250‹C and are water-immiscible. The preparations are made by dispersing the waterinsoluble dye in the oil phase selected from hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons in the presence of a dispersing agent followed by mixing the resulting dye dispersion with thickener and water. A preferred composition comprises 30-70% by weight of aqueous thickener, 0-70% of water, 0.05- 50% of oil, 0.01-8% of dye and 0.0005- 8% of a water insoluble dispersing agent.
