Abstract

The apparatus serves for the continuous liquid treatment, such as washing and cleaning, of spread-out textile fabric webs, especially of fabric webs of unstable surface, for example knitted fabrics, nonwovens and the like. It contains a treatment compartment with two baths (9a, 9b) which are separated by a wall (11) and above which a number of driveable drums (6a-6d) closed on all sides are arranged at a distance one above the other. The fabric web is guided via these drums, and treatment liquid is sprayed continuously by means of spray pipes (7a-7f) into the predominantly downwardly oriented gusset (8) between the respective drum surfaces and the fabric web. Arranged between the baths is a squeezing unit which is formed from a roller (10) and the drum (6b) dipping into the first bath (9a) on the inlet side and which brings about an appropriate liquid separation between the first and the second bath. <IMAGE>
