Abstract
1518725 Muting during tuning LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 21 Oct 1976 [21 Oct 1975] 43744/76 Heading H3Q In an arrangement for reducing interference resulting from switching functions of a radio receiver a gradual increase in the damping of the received signal is initiated in response to a switching action initiation prior to the switching action being accomplished and then the damping is gradually reduced after the switching action has been accomplished. A start signal A for the frequency change process causes a clock pulse generator in control 4 to change the integration constant of an integrator 5 so as to control PIN diodes of a damping element in the above manner. The time curve of the response to voltage factor of the damping element 7 is produced which approaches the Gaussian distribution function or causes the smallest interference at IF filter 8. When the maximum damping is reached a pulse is emitted from the control 4 to digitally switch the frequency of a variable frequency oscillator 2 via a buffer store 3.
