1518374 Crosslinking agents for rubber IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd I Feb 1977 [30 April 1976] 17705/76 Heading C3E [Also in Division C2] Natural and synthetic rubbers are cross-linked by incorporation therein of a compound of formula where -CO-R is the acyl radical of a monobasic carboxylic acid and R1 is hydrocarbyl, with the proviso that at least one of R and R1 is alkyl of seven or more C atoms. In Examples, a member of compounds are incorporated in SBR-furnace black compositions which may also contain ZnO, stearic acid, sulphur, N- cyclohexyl-2-benzthiazyl-sulphenamide and/or zinc diethyldithiocarbamate.
