Abstract

1518143 Electric circuit-breakers SQUARE D CO 23 June 1975 [28 June 1974] 26548/75 Heading H1N A latching device for attachment to an electromagnetic switch 10 has a housing 34 containing a plunger 154 which can be manually moved toward the switch 10 to move an operating member 24 thereof to its operated position the plunger 154 being arranged to be movable relative to a latch member 50 normally coupled thereto during the manual movement. The latch member 50 is retained by a latch lever 48 operable, by an electromagnet 46 or its end 102, to release the member 50 which then can move upward with the plunger 154. The plunger 154 and member 50 are linked by a constraining member 168 pivoted at 174 and biased by a spring 166 to a position in which the end of an opening 173 in the member 168 tightly engages the plunger 154.
