Abstract

1517755 Multiple bottle support STORK AMSTERDAM BV 30 Sept 1975 [18 Oct 1974] 40035/75 Heading B8T A multiple bottle support, particularly for bottle washing machines, comprises a carrier 1 made of sheet material with openings 8 to receive plastics sleeves 10, each sleeve 10 having on its outer circumference at least one pair of cams 14, 15 which co-operate with recesses 16 in the rim of the opening 8, the arrangement being such that in the secured position of the sleeve one cam of the pair prevents axial movement and the other cam prevents rotation of the sleeve 1 about its axis. The sleeve preferably has a collar 13 above the carrier, one cam 14 extending to the collar while the other cam 15 is located a distance h from the collar substantially equal to the thickness d of the carriar. In a further embodiment, the pair of cams are superposed, and one recess 16 is deeper than the other. The recesses 16 are preferably side by side, as shown in Fig. 1, with a lip 17 between them, the cam 14 riding on the lip 17 when passing from one recess to the other. The carrier 1 preferably comprises two U-shaped sections 2, 3 welded together as at 4, openings being provided in the top and bottom faces 7 and 5. The carrier is secured to a conveyor in a washing machine by extensions 9.
