1516931 Removing exhaust gases B REGESE 21 Jan 1976 02386/76 Headings F4J and F4X The exhaust gases from I.C. engines are removed from workshops or the like by an extraction duct 1 arranged above the engines which duct has a continuous lip-seal 3 closing off a lower opening and parted only by one or more members 4 suspended by wheels 10 running in a pair of channel-shaped rails 8, 9 in the duct so as to move longitudinally therealong. The rails are each formed by inwardly and upwardly curving the end portions of an inverted, substantially U-shaped member. The member 4 has at its bottom an intake connection 4a located outside the duct for an extractor hose (not shown) connected to the exhaust pipe of an I.C. engine and outlet openings 5 at the top leading into the duct from which the gases are removed from an end extraction pipe (not shown). One or more pairs of wheels may be provided with each member 4 which may be provided with linkage to allow swinging of the member transversely to its direction of movement via a wheeled carriage 15.
