Abstract

1515109 Plasticized polymers LAPORTE INDUSTRIES Ltd 2 Sept 1975 [30 Sept 1974] 42369/74 Heading C3K Homogeneous plasticized mixtures comprise (1) a polymer and (2) 5-95% of at least two solid plasticizers constituted by 50-85% of dicyclohexyl phthalate and the balance one or more carboxylic acid esters comprising three C6 rings linked by ester linkages. The polymer may be a vinyl chloride or vinyl acetate copolymer. The plasticizers may be diphenyl phthalate, ditolyl phthalates, dicyclohexyl terephthalate catechol dibenzoate, dicyclohexan 1,2 - diol dibenzoate or substituted dicyclohexyl phthalates. The compositions are useful as heat activatable adhesives.
