Abstract
1514352 Rotary positive-displacement machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 30 Jan 1976 [30 Jan 1975] 03839/76 Heading F1F In a gear-pump or motor comprising externally inter-meshing gears 14, 15 with shafts 14', 14" and 15', 15" journalled in bearing members 16-19, the peripheral surface of each bearing member adjacent to the side face of the respective gear wheel is provided with a recess 21 which extends circumferentially over at least 120 degrees and has an axial width at the most ¥ of the axial length of the member. Each pair of bearing members has contacting flat surfaces 20 and is mounted in a housing 10. The recesses 21 enable the members to tilt slightly in the housing and accommodate flexing of the gear shafts during operation. With the exception of the flat 20, each recess extends over either the entire periphery of the bearing member or only partially, Fig. 4 (not shown) from the end of the flat 20 at the low pressure side. 0À03 mm is given as an example of the radial depth of the recesses 21. Recesses 25, 26 for the entry and exit of fluid are provided in each bearing member. The internal periphery may also be recessed (34).
