Abstract

1514169 Scissors RUSSELL (SHEARS) LTD 2 March 1976 [5 Dec 1974] 52737/74 Headings B4B and B5A [Also in Division B3] A pair of scissors comprises blades 10 and 12 moulded from e.g. synthetic plastics material and in which cutting elements 14 are moulded the elements being formed with a number of holes 36 or notches, Fig. 11 (not shown) into which the material flows during injection moulding to key the element into blade. A metal screwthreaded bush 20 is moulded into one blade for a pivot screw 22 and a recess 29 is provided for a pair of spring elements 28, 30 adapted to urge the cutting edges in contact. The cutting edges may be serrated as shown.
