Abstract
1514031 Annealing silicon steel ALLEGHENY LUDLUM INDUSTRIES Inc 10 Feb 1976 [13 Feb 1975] 05108/76 Headings C7A C7D and C7N Silicon steel having a cube-on-edge orientation and a permeability of at least 1850 (g/o e ) at 10 oe is prepared from a composition containing in percentage by wt. C -0À07 Si 2À6-4 Mn 0À03-0À24 S and/or Se 0À01-0À09 total Al 0À015-0À04 N -0À02 Cu -0À5 B -0À0035 Fe balance by hot-rolling, cold-rolling with at least 80% reduction, decarburizing, and finally texture annealing after the surface has been coated with a mixture consisting of 0À5-50 parts by wt. of one or more of (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 , Fe(N03)3, Al(NO 3 ) 3 , Mg(NO 3 ) 2 or Zn(NO 3 ) 2 with 100 parts of one or more of B, B compounds, S, S compounds, Se, Se compounds or the oxides or hydroxides of Mg, Ca, Al, Ti or Mn.
