Abstract
1513614 Encapsulated insecticide MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 8 April 1976 [9 April 1975] 14383/76 Heading ASE [Also in Division B8] A microcapsule insecticide composition comprises microcapsules each having a polyurea shell including as an integral part of the shell a photostable ultra violet light absorbent compound having a log molar extinction coefficient of from 2 to 5 with respect to radiation having wave lengths in the range of from 270 to 350 mm and a liquid fill capable of slowly permeating the shell and comprising a pyrethroid and a pyrethrin synergist. The photostable compound may be a benzophenone and the synergist is preferably 3, 4-methylene dioxy-6-propyl benzylbutyldiethylene glycol ether. The composition may also contain an antioxidant such as an alkylated phenol and a water-immiscible organic solvent such as deodorized kerosene.
