Abstract

1511374 Severing wrapping film BORDEN Inc 22 April 1975 [29 July 1974] 16550/75 Heading B8C [Also in Division B5] Articles 26 are packaged in film 12 drawn by hand from roll 10 by initially wrapping the film around the article whilst it is supported upon a shelf 24, pulling the article from the shelf to tighten the film around it and to tension the film extending from the roll, and finally applying the tensioned film over a bar 28 heated to a temperature within the softening range of material of the film. Preferably the bar comprises a steel sheath containing an electrically insulating heat conducting material in which an electrical heating element is embedded.
