[Also in Division H5] A heater for the sealing of packages is thermally insulated from a support, the insulation enclosing all but the working surfaces. A block 1 having a sheathed element heater 2 in a slot is mounted through mica or moulded insulating material in a support 10 and clamped by screws. In a modification, two heater surfaces are exposed and the block is mounted by means of a lug.
