Abstract

1511292 Metallized thermally insulating laminates STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 29 April 1975 [20 May 1974] 17725/75 Heading B5N A vapour barrier and insulation material for use in a house construction comprises an unplasticized plastics film having on one face a vacuum evaporated metal coating and on the other face a layer of thermal insulation material, e.g. mineral wool. The film is preferably a flexible aluminized polyvinyl chloride, but other suitable plastics are listed. The film and insulation may be bonded by an aqueous PVC emulsion adhesive. The film may be wider than the insulation to facilitate installation.
