1510465 Seals LUCAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 8 Aug 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 41822/74 Heading F2B In an arrangement for sealing a lever 10 within a bore 16 of a body 11, the lever is formed with trunnions 13 pivotable in bearings 12 and with a spherical portion 14. The latter is sealingly engaged by a resiliently-urged sealing ring 17, mounted in a carrier having oppositelyfacing axial surfaces of substantially equal area, so that the sealing pressure will be determined by the force exerted by spring 19, substantially independently of the pressure of gas in bore 16. The ring 17 is of graphite-filled l'TFE.
