1510365 Thermoelectric devices NVKOLOMOETS Z M DASHEVSKY V I GRANOVSKY I A SHMIDT and D M GELFGAT 25 July 1975 31164/75 Heading H1K A thermoelectric device comprises seriesconnected limbs each consisting of a P or N-type semiconductor film 1 in thermal and electrical contact with a heat sink 3 at one face and a heat source 2 at the other via thermally conductive strips 4, 5, e.g. of aluminium, copper or silver, laterally spaced from one another by a distance greater than the strip width, whereby heat flows in the plane of the film. Heat loss may be reduced by sealing off the sink-source space by end plates and fitting it with argon.
