1510144 Animal feed derived from cocoa fruit U DREVICI and N DREVICI 1 April 1975 [9 April 1974] 44128/77 Divided out of 1510142 Addition to 1411591 Headings A2B and A2Q An animal feed is prepared by subjecting cocoa fruit to immersion in an aqueous alkaline bath at 50-100‹C to cause swelling of the fruits, removing the fruit peel to leave the flesh exposed, opening the peeled fruit, and separating the cocoa beans and recovering the flesh of the fruit. The product may be mixed with a fatty material or grain to make an animal feed composition.
