Abstract

1510066 Television systems INDESIT INDUSTRIA ELETTRODOMESTICI ITALIANA SpA 24 Sept 1976 [9 Oct 1975] 39749/76 Heading H4F A saturation control circuit includes two serially-connected variable gain amplifiers, 6, 7. The chroma and sync. burst signals are fed to the first amplifier 6, the gain of which is controlled by a control loop including a burst gate 8, a noiseinsensitive synchronous detector 12 and a threshold circuit 15. The second amplifier 7 is gain controlled by a manual saturation control M and by the output of a colour killer 13 fed by the synchronous detector 12. It is also controlled by a control loop, including a burst gate 10, a peak detector 14 and a threshold circuit 16, which reduces the gain if the amplitude of the burst signal and any noise present exceeds the threshold, so preventing over-saturation. The second amplifier feeds a demodulator 9 giving colour signals B, R.
