Abstract
1509914 Detecting hidden objects ELECTROLOCATION Ltd 23 May 1975 [1 June 1974] 24378/74 Heading G1N A detector system for detecting underground objects, e.g. pipes and telephone cables, comprises two detector coils 23 and 67 mounted with axes parallel, horizontal and at a predetermined vertical spacing and connected in antiphase to a meter giving direct depth indication. Each detector coil may be a pair of coils (e.g. 2 and 23) joined in parallel or series. The coils are cored with ferrite rods and mounted on a square frame 1 with adjustable length of side. The coils themselves may also be adjustably positioned on the frame sides. Alternatively, the coils may be mounted on an upright I-shaped member (not shown).
