Abstract

1509732 Bearings F HECK 4 April 1975 [6 April 1974] 51670/77 Divided out of 1509731 Heading F2A [Also in Division B3] A method of making a lined bearing comprises providing at the radially inner surface of a bearing ring a slurry comprising a metallic bonding material in the form of a powder, water and a flux, heating the ring at least to the melting point of the bonding material while rotating the ring, and thereafter centrifugally casting a layer of lining material over the thus formed layer of bonding material. The disclosure is substantially identical to that of parent Specification.
