Abstract
1509559 Internally coated containers PATRONATO DE INVESTIGACION CIENTIFICA Y TECNICA JUAN DE LA CIERVADEL CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTIFICAS 12 Nov 1975 [29 Nov 1974] 46662/75 Heading B2E The internal surface of a container for molten metals, e.g. of steel, is treated, e.g. by sand blasting, so as to be unpolished and impurity free, and then coated with at least one layer of a ceramic material by spraying, e.g. with a plasma or gas torch. Suitable ceramic materials are ZrO 2 , Al 2 O 3 or SiO 4 Zr. The container surface may be alloyed with a Ni-Cr layer before applying the ceramic layer.
