Abstract

1509177 Vehicle ventilators CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 22 May 1975 [23 May 1974 21 June 1974] 23129/74 and 27683/74 Heading B7B A ventilator device 22 is fitted in an aperture 19, which also receives a rear window 23, formed in a rear body panel of a vehicle. The device comprises a box section member 24 having apertures 34, 35 leading from the interior to the exterior of the vehicle, and is mounted to extend along the top or bottom of the aperture by a flange member 26. The box 24 may be of metal plastics or plastics reinforced metal and may have a separable portion defining the apertures 35. A cover member 36 and/or flap valve member may be fitted to the box 24, clips 38 (41) (Fig. 4, not shown) on the cover engaging in apertures 39, 42. Sealing members 25, 31 are provided between the body, ventilator and window. Alternatively the cover member may be integral with box 24.
