Abstract

1508908 Air conditioning vehicles FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 17 June 1975 [2 Aug 1974] 25685/75 Heading F4V An air conditioning system for a motor vehicle comprises a chamber 7 having a fresh air inlet 9 and a recirculated air inlet 29, a casing 25 within the chamber 7 and having a fresh air inlet 26 and a recirculated air inlet 27 controlled by a pivoted flap 33. a blower unit 20 communicating with the interior of casing 25, and a heater unit 11 having an inlet connected to the blower unit 20. An air cooling heat exchanger 34 may be mounted within casing 25. The flap 33 is manually operable via a Bowden cable. The heater unit 11 is disposed in the vehicle passenger compartment and communicates via ducting 16, 17 with vents 18, 19.
