Abstract

1508594 Shower basins GARDEX Ltd 19 May 1975 [26 June 1974 14 Aug 1974 5 Sept 1974] 28266/74 Heading A4N A prefabricated shower base comprises a body having an upper surface defining a bowl and at least one retainer member for securement to the floor, the underside of the body being complementarily shaped to co-operate with said retainer member when positioned thereover to prevent movement of the shower base. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, an integral plastics body 10 of the type disclosed in Specification 1476375 is filled with a structure 15 composed of intersecting slats 16, 17 so as to leave a recess 18 with which a rectangular board 19, secured to the ground by nails 21, co-operates. In a further embodiment, Fig. 5, the cavity beneath the body 10 is partially filled by foamed plastics 39 which is provided with shoulders 41 engaged by a board 42 mounted on a retaining member 43 provided with corrugations and stuck to the floor with pressure sensitive adhesive 35. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the board is omitted and the foamed plastics filling extends beneath the bottom 13 of the body 10.
