Abstract

1506666 Compensating joints PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MANUFACTURE ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES 31 March 1976 [4 April 1975] 13116/76 Headings F2G and F2P A compensating joint comprises, a tubular rubber body 1 containing one or more corrugations 3 which is reinforced by at least two reinforcing layers 4, 5 made of filaments which are obliquely orientated to the axis of the joint, preferably symmetrically in opposite directions in the order of 20 degrees, and wherein the body further includes a reinforcing layer 6 formed from a mixture of rubber and short textile fibres scattered through the rubber, this layer being placed in contact with at least one of the reinforcing layers made of filaments. Fig. 1 shows layer 6 between layers 4 and 5. In another embodiment, layers 4 and 5 abut and layer 6 covers the outer surface of the outer layer.
