Abstract

1506622 Utilizing solar heat G HASSAN 23 March 1976 [1 April 1975] 13276/75 Heading F4U A solar liquid-heating system for use in a caravan or boat comprises a solar panel 4 formed with interconnected compartments and provided with a liquid inlet 5 and a plurality of outlets 6, 7 which are connected to a storage tank 3. As shown, the outlet 10 of the storage tank is connected by a pipe 11, which is embedded in thermally insulating material 2 surrounding the tank 3 and underlying the panel 4, to a hot water supply tap 12. A cold water supply pipe 15, extending from a pump 18 connected to a cold water reservoir 22, is connected at 5 and 16 to the panel 4 and the tank 3, respectively, and to a cold water supply tap 19. The pump is controlled by a pressure sensitive switch 24.
