Abstract

1506490 Turbine valves CREUSOTLOIRE 14 Oct 1975 [14 Oct 1974] 42079/75 Heading FIT [Also in Division F2] The admission or exhaust valves 19 of a steam or gas turbine are controlled sequentially by a bar 12 disposed outside the valve chest 11 and rigid with the two arms of an actuating lever 14 having a spindle 15 mounted in bearings 16, 17. Each valve 19 has a stem 21 with an articulated connection 35 to a control rod 23 itself connected by an adjustable stop 24 and ball-joint (31), Fig. 4 (not shown) to bar 12. Stop 24 is protected by a removable cover. Each valve 19 is biased closed by a spring 27 acting between a plate 26, ball-jointed at 25 to stem 21, and a plate 28 adjustably secured to chest 11 by rods 29. Actuating lever 14 is pivotally moved by a rod (32), ball-jointed thereto.
