Abstract
The heat-insulating window pane has at least two glass panes. These are spaced apart from one another by means of metallic spacer rails in each case. In order to produce the heat-insulating window pane, first of all those surface sections of the glass panes (2,6) coming to bear on the spacer rails are metal-coated (region 10). The spacer rails (8) are then inserted and heated, with the result that a metal bond occurs. In this process, the spacer rails are heated by means of current eddy, high frequency and/or ohmic heat, essentially no temperature gradient occurring with respect to the cross-sectional surface and longitudinal direction of the spacer rail.
