Abstract
1506174 Transistor circuits MECASONIC SA 26 Feb 1975 [2 May 1974] 8120/75 Heading H3T In a circuit for energizing an ultrasonic transducer C1, a transformer T having a secondary winding T1<SP>1</SP> in series with a compensating inductor L is connected across terminals for the transducer Cl. A pair of feedback windings F 1 (coupled to L) and F2 (coupled to T) are provided for feedback to an oscillator which drives the amplifier so that the power output is increased as a function of the load impedance. The transducer T 1 may be electrostrictive or magnetostrictive and may be used for ultrasonic welding, machining or cleaning. A further winding T2' may be included connected as shown. The sum of inductor L and the inductance of winding T1<SP>1</SP> may be arranged to resonate with the capacitance of the transducer Cl at the oscillator frequency. The sum of the inductive reactances may be equal to the sum of the capacitive reactances and equal to the nominal mechanical impedance of the transducer Cl.
