Abstract
1505694 Purification of I.C. exhaust ENGELHARD MINERALS & CHEMICALS CORP 23 May 1975 [10 June 1974] 22742/75 Addition to 1484933 Heading B1F Apparatus for purifying gases, e.g. for catalytic conversion of I.C. exhaust, comprises a ceramic honeycomb 28, a flange 44 bridging the gap between casing 22 and honeycomb 28, and a spring member 48a in Fig. 3, 48b in Fig. 4 and 48c in Fig. 5, positioned under compression to provide a resilient connection between flange 44 and honeycomb 28. Spring 48a, Fig. 3 is a garter spring.
