1505051 Panels for tanks A N S KULASINGHE 25 Feb 1976 07375/76 Headings E1B and E1T A square panel having angled cross section framing members 3 supporting a membrane 7, which has the form of a flexible membrane of negligeable shear strength secured in a shape peripheral frame and subject to a pressure difference across it, is used to form a liquid storage tank by joining the panels together at their edges e.g. by welding or bolting with the convex side of the membrane inwardly of the tank. The membrane may be metal or nonmetal. Where two or more panels are joined in the same plane the join may be tied to a similar join on the opposite tank side.
