Abstract
1504445 Barrel-grinding medium I OHNO 20 April 1976 15987/76 Heading C4V A barrel-grinding medium comprises particles of a grinding agent, each particle having a core composed of material having a different specific gravity from that of the grinding agent. The core material may particularly be of iron or air (i.e. the grain is hollow). The bulk specific gravity of the grinding medium may thus be controlled to correspond to the specific gravity of a workpiece to be ground, thereby improving grinding efficiency.
