Abstract

150,432. Pattison, W. June 2, 1919. Pleating, kilting, goffering, and crimping.-In apparatus of the kind described in Specification 150,431 for corrugating or shaping plastic materials, a sheet of material is fed down an inclined board a on to a plate b<2> supported on a table b. The upper former consists of a corrugated cylinder or roller mounted on arms hand adjustable to and from the table b by turn-buckle mechanism l. The upper end of the board a is hinged to bars or boards m which may be raised and lowered by a rotatable right-and-left screwthreaded shaft p carrying nuts q and links r. The sheet material is fed by hand or mechanically on to a conveyer t adjustably mounted in slotted quadrants v. The table b is operated by a beltdriven screw shaft e having fast-and-loose pulleys e<1>, e<2>, for forward and reverse movement. The roller g may be provided with longitudinal and transverse knives fixed or adjustable. By using moulding-plates b<2> and rollers g of suitable form, eaves-gutters, channels, copings, sections, angles, and the like may be made.
