1504299 Load-responsive brake valves GIRLING Ltd 15 May 1975 [4 June 1974] 24759/74 Heading F2F A vehicle load-responsive pressure limiting or proportioning valve comprises a housing, with a normally-open control valve having a valve member 9 closable in response to fluid inlet pressure acting against a pre-load spring 13, the spring-preload being adjustable by a cable 20 coupled at one end to an abutment of the pre-load spring 13 and in use at the other end to a vehicle part which moves relatively with change of vehicle loading. As shown the housings have a single fluid inlet 2 and two outlets 3 and the pre-load may be adjusted by conventional adjustment of the inner cable 21 relative to the sheath 22.
