Abstract

1502919 Clothes dryer HITACHI Ltd 29 Dec 1975 [24 March 1975] 53033/75 Heading F4G A clothes drier comprises a rotatably mounted drum 5 in a cabinet 1, drive means 15 for rotating the drum and for actuating a blower 21 for feeding air from outside the cabinet through the drum to an exhaust 38, and electric resistances, e.g. PTC thermistor(s) 24, for heating the air, such that a decrease in the quantity of air traversing the drier results in a decrease in the heat energy produced, and vice versa. Negative temperature coefficient thermistors (69, 70), in a circuit Fig. 5 (not shown) located to detect respectively atmospheric and exhaust air temperatures, act to switch off the heater 24 at a predetermined temperature difference.
