1502743 Beet harvesters WILHELM STOLL MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 28 Jan 1976 [3 Feb 1975] 03298/76 Heading A1F Leaves are conveyed on a beet topping device by a screw conveyor having a horizontally extending portion 9 comprising two parallel side-by-side screws 11, 12 and an obliquely ascending portion 17; the horizontal screws having drive means separate from that of the ascending screw 19. Thus the screws may be arranged whereby the axes of the screw 11, 12 and 19 intersect above the lower end of the ascending screw 17. An opening 26 in the trough 18 of the screw 19 may be provided for the discharge of stones etc.
