Abstract

1501791 Vehicle screen wipers SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUR AUTOZUBEHOR GUSTAV RAU GmbH 3 Feb 1976 [7 Feb 1975] 04173/76 Heading A4F To limit longitudinal movement of a wiper blade rubber (not shown) relative to an integral plastics yoke 10 having staggered inturned members 11, 12 for engaging longitudinal grooves in the rubber, a closing element is used which engages in a recess between two opposing inturned hook-shaped members 13, 14 and 15, 16 at one end of the yoke in such a way that the element is fixed against either longitudinal or transverse movement relative to the yoke. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the element has a base-plate 20, stop portions 21, 22 and a locking stud 24 pressed into the recess defined between the members 13, 14 and 15, 16. In a modification Fig. 3 (not shown), the element is integral with the yoke and joined thereto by a resilient strip (25'). Alternatively, as in Fig. 4, the element may have an end cover plate 30, a base-plate (35) Fig. 5 (not shown) and two locking studs 32, 34 at the ends of limbs 31, 33 extending parallel to the base-plate between the members 13, 14 and 15, 16.
