Abstract
1499366 Cooling resistors DRALORIC ELECTRONIC GmbH 30 Oct 1975 [13 Nov 1974] 45002/75 Heading HIS A resistor comprises a resistance element 1 surrounded by insulating material and located in a one-piece cooling body 2 by means of an intermediate metal layer 3 of which the melting temperature is higher than the maximum operating temperature of the resistor and lower than the melting temperatures of the insulating material and the cooling body. The intermediate layer 3 may be of lead, tin, zinc, cadmium, silver, aluminium, copper, antimony, nickel and/or their alloys. The body 2 may be of metal, e.g. aluminium, or ceramics material and it may be ribbed (Fig. 3, not shown). In addition body 2 may be mechanically prostressed and the layer 3 may be fitted to the surface of the resistance element 1 by plastic deformation during insertion of the resistance element.
