Abstract

1498993 Pressure relief vent for building RCA CORPORATION 21 March 1975 [5 April 1974] 11894/75 Headings E1R and E1W A pressure relief vent is provided for a building to prevent damage due to an internal explosion, the vent taking the form of a dome, e.g. a domelight, which is held in position by a number of pins 70, with parallel axes, which are mounted in over-size holes 68, 64 in a domelight brace 14 and the domelight support and held in position, by e.g. grommets 76, in such a way that the domelight will be forced off at given upwards pressure thereon. The dome 12 is as described in Specification 1,445,128 and is held in place by braces 14. The edge 26 of the dome is located normally in a slot 63 around the support, but when the dome is placed upwardly, this edge can come out of the slot.
