Heat retainers and deflectors.-A metal heatretaining cooking-vessel support for gas, electricity, &c. has a concave corrugated top with covered openings between the corrugations and has also an outer flange g sloping downwardly and outwardly. The corrugations b are both concentric and radial, and the covers for the openings are in the form of protuberances pressed up from the plate and each furnished with two lips f which direct the hot air sideways.
