Abstract

1497574 Two-part couplings GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 21 May 1975 [19 June 1974] 21737/75 Heaving H2E An electrical connector comprises a hole 26 in a plate and a plug 10 comprising a base 14, parallel fingers 16 arranged in a circle extending from the base, and a double loop coil spring 44 inside the circle of fingers 16, which urges the fingers radially outward. The fingers 16 and hole 26 may be chamfered 28, 30 for ease of engagement and a slot 36 may extend from the hole (Fig. 2, not shown) for added resilience. The spring 44 may have one loop smaller than the other which is said to impart an equal radial pressure to each finger.
