Abstract

1496903 Label webs R A JONES & CO Inc 12 Dec 1974 [26 Dec 1973] 53821/74 Heading B8F A rolled preprinted precut label supply comprises a web 14 having a plurality of cuts 25 defining the labels 20 and leaving them attached to a remnant 21 of the web by bridges 22, wherein the ends of the cuts are curved so that the bridges taper going from remnant to label, whereby when a label is removed by a plunger, a major portion of the bridges stays with the remnant. Any portion of a bridge staying with the label partially fills a depression formed in the label edge. Feed sprocket holes are also formed by cuts 30. The web may be coated paper or plastics.
