Abstract

Combined printing and cutting machine for paper and foil webs is distinguished by a rotary cutting unit (2) with an impression roller (14) and a carrier roller (13) for a cutting tool (15) which consists of a thin plate of flexible material. The cutting lines protrude from the plate, and the plate covers only a part of the carrier roller (13) similar to the printing plate (18) on the printing roller (16). The web, which is controlled by the traversing carriage (6), is led through the printing units and also through the cutting unit (2). Web and roller speeds are constant, the roller speed is higher by a factor of roller circumference to plate length.
