Abstract

1496376 Hot gas engines UNITED STIRLING (SWEDEN) AB & CO KB 14 Nov 1975 46994/75 Heading F1S The invention relates to a central system for an external combustion engine, e.g. a hot gas engine 1, in which the temperature of a heated part of the engine is used to regulate the flow of air used for combustion of a fuel for heating this part, and the flow of air is used for regulating the flow of the fuel. According to the invention the air-flow control means also controls the flow of recirculated exhaust gases. As shown a valve 20 controls the intake of a centrifugal blower 4 and also controls recirculation of exhaust gases through a conduit 22. A temperature controlled valve 23 is provided for closing the recirculation connection when the temperature of the exhaust gases rises above a predetermined limit. The air intake duct 8 has a device 10 which with the aid of a control device 11 controls the flow of fuel to a fuel nozzle 14.
